Massage Therapist SCHOOL
The Academy of Massage and Bodywork offers a 600 hour Massage Therapist School Program that prepares you for employment as a Licensed Massage Therapist in states that require a passing grade in the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx), governed by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards which includes the State of Delaware, and where the required number of hours is met. The curriculum for the Massage Therapist Program includes; Anatomy and Physiology, Massage Theory and Technique, Professional, Ethical, and Legal Issues, Contraindications, Applied Theory and Technique as well as Elective and Alternative Modalities such as; Eastern, Oriental, Western and Ayurvedic Modalities, Reflexology, Sports Massage, Pre-natal and Infant massage, Hydrotherapy, Body Wraps, Neuromuscular Techniques and CPR certification.
The Massage Therapy School Program meets or exceeds local and national requirements. It consists of both classroom hours and practical hands-on training hours. Day and night classes are available.
The Massage Therapist Program meets Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:30am to 2:00pm for the day class and from 5:30pm to 10:00pm for the night class.
